While there are probably some boys around who will join Scouts because of the annual "paper airplane" event  Wink , we get good results from having our pack family campout near enough to invite all of the boys in the local schools to come to the campfire portion of the campout. Nothing says Scouting like the smell of marshmallows in the evening. We also have a local Troop that offers to come and do a campfire program for the boys; this helps to engage the Cubs with the idea of going on to Boy Scouts.
