This is a way of making a website so that anyone with permission can enter info, update, edit or add articles. It takes a lot of the load off of a webmaster, and makes it far easier for the pack or troop to keep the site up to date, which makes it more useful to the members. We use this for www.troop562.org and we use a similar system called Mambo for www.cub-scouts.org

Joomla seems better, as most of the Mambo developers have moved over to Joomla. Did I mention that it is open source, so it is free?
