If you want the boys to be interested in the Troop, they have to have a clear visual image of the Troop. This will happen best if your Troop actually DOES things with or for the Pack. Waiting around for the annual invite to bridge kids at the Blue and Gold is not sufficient; Have some Troop people come to Cub Scout meetings, to help with the Cub committee, and otherwise be a part of the Pack... then the kids will have a more or less constant reminder of what can lie ahead.
